I'm feeling uncomfortable about this
How so? Seems to me that it is just account verification which should have done early but better late than never. I am not invested in this so you can treat it as a random guy on the street talking.

You must remember that Chocolate Finance is considered a brokerage or a company that runs investment product. Isn't this type of account verification common for these places that manages your money?

Is it gonna toh and not let us withdraw money?
Trust, use.
Don't trust, don't use.

You can be skeptical but really, no one (the public that are not related to their finances or operations) will know if it will "toh" until it is too late.

No point worrying so much

Its just verifying the account you've been transferring in/out to be the same, that's all. How's that link to whether it will toh or not. Probably just trying to prevent laundromat business lah.

I withdraw first to test if my old account I added work, and it did. Not sure what happens if I fund it via Paynow with another account, then withdraw again.

Caz you never use the platform so you don't understand the concern.

Previous already verified with bank account and withdrawal has been smooth. Suddenly say "added extra layer of verification" and all my previously linked bank account of my own name all deleted and I couldn't withdraw.

Instead I have to top up money with my bank account to get it verified. And their WhatsApp help is not useful their reply always cmi.

I went read Reddit and everyone is saying their cs claim that is a bug. But this is quite major bug. And ever since ftx saga I no longer trust these separate funds in another bank account nonsense. Even if they don't take and run. Our money probably will be frozen for god damn long before getting permission to take back like ftx. I lost 20k on crypto due to all these rugpull.

And they limit the withdrawal to 19.9k instant, rest need wait 10 working days. Got chance they might suffer liquidity issues. For that a bit more interest not worth. Will rather stick to sdic maribank or ssb. At least can sleep well.

I'm gonna slowly withdraw everything out. And in before I'm spreading FUD but I'm just sharing my opinion. The rest can decide themselves.

What's so difficult about this? I sent money from my maribank to choc finance and can send money back to maribank immediately

No issue for me with my existing account linked.

Transfer in and out ok.

I didn't do any reverification...

Your previously added bank account isn't deleted lah; its just hidden until you transfer in money from the same account. I did that with 1 cent and my previously added bank account appeared again after that.

Wanna ask, if i got money in CF n choose not to withdraw, will the additional gain more daily/monthly interest?
Understood the below statement from CF so i assume will gain if its <$50K.
If >$50K, will the interest gain, eg. $124 monthly, get interest too?
Or i'm wrong, your initial invest $30K, they will give u $30K of interest, no matter if you choose to withdraw or not to withdraw the interest.

Note: The projected returns in the illustration above are based on a S$50k balance earning 3.3% p.a. return on the first S$20k and 3% p.a. on the next S$30k.

yes the interest will gain interest (though is just insignificant)

for absolutely positive n stable interest, just keep it at 50k max. anything above 50k is not worth as it might be lowered interest

That interest above $50k will also lose money, isn't it? Thought its been proven previously liao...

is may lose money or lesser than the interest for the 1st 50k.

so just ensure max is 50k will do. anything above just withdraw out

Choc fin is making good $ on the funds returns. The funds outperform and they only paid out 3.3%

No wonder can burn $ and give 2mpd for almost all transactions.

No that's not what it means actually, because the underlying find could swing day to day due to change in underlying fund price.

Ya I know but if the funds continue to outperform they could make alot as they not giving us the real return and only 3.3%. likewise if the funds underperform but I think for the short term the funds will outperform.

Just saw its choc fin requested axs to remove their card as payment method.. their faq make it look like it's AXS issues so shady. I might just withdraw my deposit and park elsewhere leaving only some cash for the 2mpd.

If rate cuts, likely would have some one off massive out performance. They just need to cut rates, people withdraw, and they pocket the difference 😂

CF nerfed the AXS payment.

At first, they push the blame to AXS being the one who does not allow. But later AXS came out to clarify that it was CF that withdrew the payment option from AXS.

guess CF cannot take the 2mpd for all items paid. If cannot take it then don’t offer it.

I am pulling back all my money in CF as I don’t see them as a trustworthy company now.

first, cannot honour the 2mpd thing for a start. Second pushing the blame to axs was a sly move.
