Samsung’s Green and Pink line issue is haunting Galaxy S23 users again. The problem isn’t infamous among Galaxy smartphone users, nor the company that even ran a campaign to replace the screen free of cost.
Over the past few weeks, some owners of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra faced the Pink and Green line problems on their devices. The OLED screen has developed a straight vertical line from top to bottom, similar to what we’ve seen in the past.
It left consumers disappointed as their flagship phone’s screen went faulty even without any drop, damage, or water insertion. Samsung’s screen replacement campaign has also ended, leading users to get it repaired at a cost.
Flagship Galaxy phones come with OLED screen technology. It has been reported that an LED or pixel element gets damaged due to overheating or any other cause, leading the panel to develop a thin, straight vertical line itself.
Reaching out to Samsung Support may help the users whose models have been affected. The support executive may assist you for further steps, which may require a visit to a nearby service center to get your handset inspected.
Usually, Samsung accepts the green or pink line issue to replace the screen at no cost. However, it depends on the company’s policies and the evaluation results by the technician at Samsung’s authorized service center.
Green or Pink line was a widespread problem on the Galaxy S20 Plus. Samsung offered free of cost screen and battery kit replacement to consumers in India, however, the program varies by country and predefined eligibility criteria.

Agreed.. the technician are trained to spot minor body scratches and pushed the blame on the user and void the warranty. They will never admit it is their manufacturing defect . Not only that. Many users owned their phone less than 1 year or within 6 monthsJust go down to Samsung Service Centre at Plaza Sing and observe. Daily argument erupt with the customers and the manager about their Samsung screen. They like to shift blames about how the screen is damage due to minor scratches on the phone body. And charge consumer over $300 plus for the screen repair.
Another issue is those flip and fold screens after 6 months it will auto shut down when you open the screen due to the flex cable snap. They will also shift blame and want consumer to pay for the repair if it's out of warranty.
Not sure how they can tahan.saw quite a few users during my rides on public transportation, users still continued to use it, even tho' there are more than 2 lines appeared on its screen![]()
