West Coast, PSP's 49% now kena Tharman's 70%.
That's a ***** cheap move.

They really so scared of LMW and they really so bloody shameless to redraw the GRC boundaries like this.

They really think people support this kind of cheating? Vote them out!

rather than lmw... think it ish more about the iswaran case bahz... think they dunch even see lmw as a threat since he can't even win votes like wp... :s22::frown:

Why is population shift a reason for redrawing boundaries?

If shift shift lo mybfd, the grc just hold more/less people only what, doesn't mean the way to manage them or who to represent them would be different? :s11: :s11: :s11:

I reckon the new Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC is now a safe PAP seat following the incorporation of MacPherson SMC into the GRC.

However, the trade-off is that the new East Coast GRC is now very winnable for the WP, especially because it contains the former Joo Chiat SMC, which is historically pro-opposition.

The Changi parts of East Coast have been carved out and merged with Pasir Ris but those areas were less accessible anyway and with their removal, the WP can focus their campaign on a smaller area, which in turn makes it easier to reach out to as many voters as possible.
The sad thing is the changi parts are very pro opposition and now being placed into the pasir ris stronghold to dilute east coast

get ready to repent for another 5 years

about half of eligible voters kena bribed with GST vouchers liao, middle income numbers can’t make significant differences so they don’t care

as for the rich, they will just keep getting richer, they would prefer white to stay in power

I used to live in Queenstown, it's a ridiculously small area.. they carve it out cos it's a PAP stronghold, many boomers staying in this area.
Here's a quote:

---
Mr Singh asked, “Is there gerrymandering in Singapore?”

In response, Mr Chan said, “I think I’ve explained the meaning of gerrymandering, what it means in other countries, and whether it applies or does not apply in our context. And I’ll leave it to members of the House and the public to decide .”

I'm surprised they didn't carve out part of aljunied and sengkang to combine with another grc.
