Did the Authorities erected too many pillars or poles to obstruct one’s view?

I counted, there’s at least 5 pillars/poles. If view from an angle, it can really block one’s view.

1 lamppost
1 Npark direction signage
1 traffic light
2 from the covered walkway

Red light mah ...

Jogger see green man just zao ...

Whose fault dont matter la in the end sleep well tonight :s13:
It’s a hazard to not only jogger but also anyone driving as cannot see if there’s anyone incoming.

Also there’s a lot of junction where they like to plant those bushes to obstruct a clear view for road users.

Thank you for sharing the same view and discussing this holistically instead of merely a bashing cyclist/pedestrian thread.

It’s like people say the engineer don’t stay BTO do built without knowing. So for this case the person installing the pillars or whatever either don’t use the road or track to understand that they have failed to give a clear view for others to notice the road conditions.

I wrote in to LTA to complain abt the green railings erected on the road divider along a bend, these railings are hazardous to drivers because they block the view of on-coming cars from left turning vehicles esp when the lighting conditions is not very good......in the end no response from LTA 😅

not just that.

they must have a quota for the bushes as well.
long time back like probably more than a decade ago, nparks more sensible..
they make it a point not to plant high bushes anywhere near traffic lights or zebra crossings and ESPEICALLY CORNERS.

But nowadays... you see bushes right up to the turns and the crossings...
very hard to see those children when turning

only shows jlb really are jlb… hope one of the designer of such shelters get to knock down and fatally hurt someone from such junction… then they may not be jlb anymore… hopefully…

problem with todays garment, they dun talk to each other…
lta (lamppost/sign board/traffic light/crossing), npark (plants/trees/signages), tc (covered walkways) all dun check with other. so everything will be blocking everything… obigoot…

then in the carparks, whether hdb or ura or whatever…
they build the carparks, erected the lampposts to brighten the area at night…
then dunno which retarded department gotta start planting trees directly under the lampposts just so they can meet lky‘s quota set for them… really a bunch of jlbs…

No accident they won’t do anything. They are reactive and never proactive.

I don't think lta takes down stuff they already installed. Not enough budget maybe. Haha
