Sorry, not sure when she applied, maybe June 2024, but interview was done Mid Oct 2024

Her last email say something like

If you application is successful, the earliest possible starting date of your employment, barring unforeseen circumstances, is either on:

17 Feb or 23 June.

No sound no picture for Feb, then received notification for ELPT early March.

Thank you so much for sharing. It seems I should remain patient while waiting as I applied in Jan 2025.

from this forum, you can read some was really quick , some have to wait for up to 10 months before any outcome. Feel its very much dependent on the subject you applied to teach.

you applied for which subject

I thought the norm (and according to MOE website) is that if you are teaching MTL, then you will asked to do MTL EPT (mother tongue entrance proficiency test). If you teach English or English-based subjects, will then be asked to take EL EPT (english language entrance proficiency test) . Is that your understanding as well? thanks @beng035

That's my logic as well.

Other side of the logic is
Other language as a first language rather than EL , Might need to take ELPT. Eg Chinese PRC
Other language as a first language rather then MTL, Might need to take MLPT. Eg, Malaysia.
*For those who are applying to teach Chinese*

Please do not flame me, its just my guess and opinion

Hi everyone, I’m a mid-career applicant and I’ve just went for my interview yesterday. I took a career break to care for my infant so my employment with my last company officially ended in December 2023.

I’ve wrote an email to my previous company to request for a Certificate of Service and is presently waiting for them to send it to me. I’ve also informed the staff yesterday that I’ll send in my Certificate of Service once I receive it from my previous employer as I was supposed to have brought it yesterday.

Does anyone know if the Certificate of Service and the Letter of Employment would suffice as I wouldn’t be able to provide any CPF statements for the past two years.

Hope to hear from someone soon, thank you 🙂
