no 天灾 ... yet

Bangkok also thought to be safe from earthquake, and not near active tectonic plates

The distance from epicentre in Myanmar also very far. Further than the distance between sinkieland and Sumatra (which experiences earthquakes frequently)

Bangkok's story tells us that sinkieland might not be as free from earthquakes as we thought
Just need a big quake out in indon, see how many BTOs can withstand

Only in Japan will the buildings not collapse, but not in Taiwan or elsewhere.

There s a certain % of bldgs in Japanese big cities that will not withstand very strong quakes, mainly in very old districts where it was too costly to revamp and rebuild. There was a study done on how much damage to Tokyo if the Big one came again. You are unlikely to be inside one of them, but never assume you are 100% safe during earthquakes even in japan.

She said she stayed in Taiwan. Prolly briefed this way and it's similar to the SOP recommended around the world. Scared then follow the experts who have analysed the best chance of survival. You have proof that your method is safer?

She is just sharing the knowledge so everyone can learn. Where got captain hindsight horse back cannon?
Thing is, Taiwan structures are earthquake proof.

Thai buildings aren't. She is just really stupid and shows her ignorance.

What JH did was right. You do not know if the building is safe.

That bangkok building was Italian design and build by tiongs.

Base on Singapore history, alot of parts are prebuild in China and ship over to assemble. This way, jobs all goes to china, quality may not be check. Less jobs go to local. But cost is lower.
