If he got balls should contest in one of those GRC which WP is contesting, I am sure he can only get 0.5%-1% of the votes mainly from siaolang.
That 0.5%-1% could be the make or break for either WP or PAP.

Better he go play somewhere else.

That's why he go to split and dilute the votes from other small opposition because if he go for 3 corner fight with WP confirm will lose deposit

That's why I say in my previous post voters are more mature nowadays.

We don't anyhow throw our votes to OPPO just becoz we dislike the incumbent.

I only wonder if those rooting for the incumbent does so becoz they are lazy. Since nvr impact their day to day lives for now, just vote PAP lor.

Even so, still need to scrutinise as the incumbent loves to impose unpopular policies after a GE.

Some of the voters are lazy and lack of critical thinking like a few of the aunties I talk to, said they happy with the money/ voucher and chicken rice PAP give them so vote for PAP.

i know since day one those oppo alliance won't work with someone like LT is leading.

He is a proven self centered man when did the TV broadcast in last election with he is the only one talking and the rest act as backdrop.

Ong Teng Cheong actually did not want the PAP's open support and was happy with the union's endorsement as he did not want to be seen as a yes-man.

In 1993, just months after his retirement from banking, Cabinet ministers, including then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, who is now Emeritus Senior Minister, urged Mr Chua to run in the country's first presidential election to give voters a choice of candidates. He agreed, but openly acknowledged his reluctance to do so, calling his opponent Mr Ong "a far superior candidate".

well, some say despite a lacklustre campaign, he still won slightly over 40% of the votes, so OTC "did not appear to be that popular"

Yes. Heard this before also. But a lot of people believe that if he ran for re election, it would have been a very different story

And it’s not a lacklustre campaign. My dad watched the presidential tv broadcast and his impression was Chua Kim Yeow was literally saying please don’t vote for me without using the words don’t vote for me exactly

They (PAR) are going to contest Potong Pasir a home ground of SPP and create a 3 corners fight. LT is insinuating his party is stronger than SPP in Potong Pasir. What a boast!

I feel Lim Tean’s insistence to contest Potong Pasir and declaring that his chances are higher than SPP is a sign that he looks down on the folks at SPP. he has no track record at PP with any previous involvement there and yet he can barge in and insist SPP give way. I agree that SPP is a spent force but LT is acting like a bully. this kind of leader not fit to lead any alliance. Cracks will definitely appear (which it did with PPP announcement of a pull out).

I spoke to a few friends and family before. Those who go about their everyday lives without knowing what is happening at the macro level, they won't bother to know more about the alternatives. They might not even know who are the opposition despite being in the news for all the wrong reasons. They will just vote for PAP blindly.

Lim Tean is a clown. The sooner we realise this, the better we are for it.
