you can go showroom to test
I did ... and used my fingers to measure how far until my buttock will touch the metal layer if the mesh sag further .... only 2 finger width .... not very cheap too considering DIY assemble & delivery fees , didn't buy

Qns for aeron.

I have the classic aeron and plan to do some refurbishment myself.

Can i confirm the "black" color for classic aeron is called black? or graphite? or?
Graphite. My Aeron is 8 years old already. Changed my wheels and armrest pads last year.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I bought a graphite atlas headrest. But the color is a bit lighter than the classic aeron. Or classic and remaster both are called graphite but their shade and tone is different? ha.

I bought 2nd hand classic but i change the new seat and cyclinder overall still not worth, but at that time remastered too ex still at 1.3-1.5k so bo bian
weighing between the risk of buying a second hand old aeron or a china brand or sihoo m57...
esp after reading aeron remastered has some quality issues. does not matter if it is a small % of units affected, but as long as it is the unit i bought affected, means i am out of $

Are there any forward tilt models from sihoo?

I have had the Steelcase Leap (in leather) for about half a year (I bought it new from the official SG store). They always do big discounts for it, so never buy it at the original price. Definitely the best chair I have used so far for my personal taste.

Incredibly easy to clean, unlike mesh or fabric chairs. Very physically flexible due to the bendy plastics, so you're not forced into one stringent "ergonomic" position.

For context, I also have an Aeron (I always found it rock hard & uncomfortable) & have used those elaborate-looking Chinese chairs (e.g. Sihoo) which I found often had parts that broke or wore down easily. Everything from tiny screws to the lift.

I also bought the newly-released, third-party Atlas headrest for the Leap & the older Office Logix one. Obviously, the Atlas one is significantly better quality. Don't buy the official Leap "with the headrest", it's worse than both & non-removable.

The main downside is the initial adjustment period due to the scoop shape of the seat. You might have lower back pain for a few weeks that dissipates. If you have pain issues, I suggest removing the plastic lumbar bar entirely & not adjusting the seat too far forward (the more forward it is, the deeper the scoop).

my remastered aeron backrest mesh just started to tear :s22:

Anyone know how much does Audio.sg charge for replacement part? I suppose it's not going to be covered under warranty right?

i’m facing a similar issue (except mine is the seat mesh) and audiosg said it’s not covered by warranty…they said to drop them an email to see what they can do, but they’ve yet to get back to me. someone a couple of posts back said it was around $200+ to replace the mesh though
