Already have to pay 9% GST when buying Microsoft products. This was imposed in 2020. The additional tariff is for exporting goods from Singapore to US.

The 2 countries keep on kpkb say it will hurt usa more than them then now they also implement same value worth of tariff

I have no idea why they say such a thing , my economics finish at A-Level and I dont know who importing what.

My view is tariffs are OK in startup industries to help them get going so artificially incresease price of competitors , however after a few years if still cannot then remove to lower prices for consumer.

To be honest if you are competing on quality then these tariffs should have negligible impact on sales.

The US want to make everything for themselves , I am guessing they forgot how trade work.

Maybe Trump think is zero-sum game.

I import $1 from you , you import $1 from me.
