Either one is not a good choice but Trump could reverse his policies on enforcing tarrifs, but can the Dems president reverse all the Woke+DEI and tell them to go back to their normal selfs??

People can hate trump as a person, but not the policies. Thus far, i dont see problems that derived from the argument tariffs are bad.

This global tariff thing is not something he thought of overnight or just in the last year.

PAP govt is surely screwed in the pants by tariffs.
Because their business model for Singapore is to adopt LKY's old ideas: to be forever landlord for MNCs and give tax breaks to MNCs to offshore to Singapore. Tariffs delete this business overnight.

PAP's golden goose has been slain. I don't know if they realise this. No longer can they expect easy way to juice GDP & jobs through foreign investments. Of course, current US MNCs that have sunk cost here, won't uproot because they need to spend additional money to transfer elsewhere, but new investors will not pour in new investments readily anymore!

Hence what we will see is a peak of US MNCs in SG, halting of any injection of new investments, and over time, they will exit after recouping most of the sunk cost. When they exit, all the suppliers will also close down or exit or pivot to another market.

In conclusion, the pro status quo people like PAP are the ones loudest in attacking the tariffs, because they have no defense or counter-tariff ability.
