This one I can answer cos I been there half day from HK.

Generally the malls are super developed in SZ, more so than Singapore usual guardians ntuc watsons etc.

Therefore the mall restaurants are quite ex (in their salary and currency).

If compare dollar to dollar, yes, the food in SZ is more ex.

BUT the food there really international and more variety.

Quality also good standard.

Therefore value for money for what you're paying.

Unlike singapore where expensive restaurant doesn't mean good food...or even good service!

Oh you ask avg price of one meal.

The coconut chicken hotpot I had for 2...I think about ¥180?

Average SZ restaurant meal we spent was 40+50+ SGD ( Of course depends on what you order, there are also high end haute cuisine and some serve really exotic fishes )

We had a large steamed turbot fish in a SZ restaurant for 128 RMB ( about S$24 ), in Sg an uncooked one from supermarket will probably be at least S$80+ , local restaurants prices are probably closer to S$200 a fish? Of course imbal to compare, they are producers, we import cum plenty of taxes and fees.

Compared to to other cities.

U go 一线城市 even more fun . Comparing to Japan n korea, china has so much more things to explore, shop, eat n play. Full of rich history lor

No. U go Nanjing n Shanghai ( very near to Nanjing) .... especially Nanjing ...Singapore shopping really cannot fight lor. Imagine their populations in Shanghai n Nanjing r denser than sink but the streets n toilets super cleaned.

I brought my kids to china and they love it. They feel so impressed about china.
