if every year 20K+++ new citizens in, in future, GE will be like true blue sinkies vs new citizens. PAP will always win in the mid to long run if there is no good progress fast enough :o

Whatever floats your boat. If it's me, I rather just enjoy the holiday and don't vote at all. In this political climate with weak opposition parties, voting is a waste of time activity.
Sad, it's your given right but you find it not important and let the rest do the job for you.

Because you don't understand your right to vote that u find it a waste of time.

Any neighbouring ppl will swap citizenship with you and vote In a heartbeat.

Better throw your citizenship and move to Africa.

I dislike free loader citizens like you who just hang around for the public holiday.

"The 62-year-old takes home about $2,900 a month, and spends $200 a week on groceries. He said most months he lives from pay cheque to pay cheque, and hardly has savings.

“I recently had to fork out $1,300 to buy a laptop for my son’s polytechnic studies. I skipped lunch for half a month,” he said.

$1300 / 15 = $86 per lunch

He eat lunch at Marriott?

Same logic of boomer who say skip travel and can afford house

Not the correct inference la. You taking surface stuff to accommodate everything in entirety. Still got bill, repairs, other needs to factor in. 1300 means half his resource is effectively gone and whatever monthly he has to pay, has to be done from the remaining resources hence ''skip lunch for half a month''.

Election spotlight: Will WP stronghold Aljunied feel the sting of controversies?

To be honest the lyingate of Pritam Singh and Raeesah and Leon Perera eating mangoes doesnt really affect the lives of the voters in Aljunied so will have minimal effect on the votes % in Aljunied. If Pritam is such a bad leader he won't be able to attract lawyers, entrprenuers and IMH director to join his party.

If Pritam is such a lousy leader then he can only attract boomer uncles who are drunkards or spend few hours a day talking cock in coffeeshop to join his party

Why straits times never write about themselves if without funding, can their biased journalism survive?
