Think WP only let Desmond to contest Pasir Ris which they never cover, WP seldom do horse trading with other parties and only contest where their members have covered frequently, Desmond is a generous guy but talk to much like Ah Beng which makes him unsuitable to lead a political party

Agreed that the timing of the US trade war played well into their cards. Is it heaven will to help the incumbent? Why didn't Trump start the trade war after the election. This event will help the incumbent due to the fear factor which we have seen in GE 2020, Covid.

There will be some impact but let’s not be overly worried about it. I think the electorate are a lot more mature in recent years than in the past where such fears often play right into their cards.

he insisted on contesting in punggol east by election back in 2012. honestly speaking no need to talk to him. at least chee back down back then.

He polled a miserable 1% plus in 2012 if I didn’t remember wrongly. So i will be very surprised if he does insist to go head on with WP in Punggol GRC. He should be wiser from that episode. And the deposit figure for GRC is massive compared to SMC
