So what if PAP is really instilling fear?

Maybe its a call to action by PAP?

When you are in fear, you either fight or flight, right?

Take foreign spouses as an example, the next question to ask is, why are Singaporean men looking for foreign spouses instead of Singaporean women?
The next question will be whether it's correct to have a policy to say foreign spouses are banned to prioritize Singapore women, or the foreign spouses need to go through stringent profile checks.

So ultimately, it's a choice right? If you are in love with a foreigner and wants to settle down in Singapore, then the policies should not stop you from chasing for your happiness isn't it?

Obviously, you are not wanting to debate on the issue brought up by many. You just trying to divert the debate to other topics.

We are here talking about whole PR household. Citizen with a foreign spouse (PR) is a family nucleus to apply for BTO in the view of starting a family here and stay long term in Singapore.

What rubbish are you talking about.

PAP can save the stock market of the world issit?

PAP will bail you out when they wont even bail out those people who lost money in the stick market?

PAP already told you they taking back the land when your HDB reaches 99 years.
Why you scolding him as though was criticising PAP?
He was criticising this oppo party

Btw there’s insider news from schoolteachers that GE is postponed till July … not sure how true it is …
possible. early july before swimming world cup

pap is scared of losing more GRCs

So it make sense though...

By allowing people to be PR for >20yrs, owning HDB flat, working in Singapore but not committing to stay here for long term (any time uproot sell HDB, take CPF and run road) is the root of all the problems in our country right now.
Double PR can buy and sell/rent out resale HDB....

Song song gao jurong

Not surprised. The ground is not that sweet for pap. Tariff cost of living crashing down on them.
Actually, tariffs dun affect our imports. It actually affects our export's competitiveness.....

COL will not get directly affected by the tariffs....

Wah if this Is true and they allowed opposition so much time to walk the ground can only mean one thing:
they are worried about the ground sentiments against them
Not normal for the PAP tl allow so much time for the opposition parties to walk and cover all the flats before they hold elections?
Actually, once the boundaries are set, the writ will come down within 3.5 months to catch the oppo unaware.

Now, imho a confluence of stuff is gonna make the wait longer if the rumoured july dates are true.

Trump's tariffs will not affect the COL but will affect Singapore's exports competitiveness which will lower the GDP no doubt. The tariffs are fugged up in a way that if the tariffs differential between the US and country A and the total cost of bringing the products to singapore for manufacturing are no different, then country A will not bring their manufacturing to Singapore.

It will only work in our favour if the differential is really massive between the US. However, the differential is not massive lol.....

Usually president needs to dissolve the parliament 3 weeks before polling day.

I am not surprised if this is to be postponed to June or July because the government need to be functioning to handle the tariff situation.

Tariff dun affect imports FFS bro......

Yea PAP shd eliminate all handouts and lower income tax.

But i dun see any oppo suggesting this either. In fact most seem to advocating for more handouts lol.
Correct. PAP should help the better off folks.. they benefit most from tax reduction.
Rather than give handouts to the ordinary folks

we have opened legs too wide for too long ... this recent tarrif development should be good for sinkies ... time to kick the ftrashes out and good jobs back to sinkies ...
Edmwers really think all the big MNCs will remain in Singapore no matter what happens?

Sometimes I really dun know if edmwers are looking down on Singapore too much or thinking too highly of Singapore. We are just a red dot and this fact will never change :o

Actually they still will in the forseable future.

As for dependency on MNCs, maybe you should ask where are our MNCs and research on why there are not many.
