Vegetables also may have pesticides so it's not safer.

Doctors tend to dimiss these symptoms when you are below 50.

Only those that visit private specialist will get more comprehensive accessment and tests done

Don't think it has anything to do with public or private doctors. Just get yourself checked.

I think you can just insist on getting a colonoscopy done if you are willing to pay

Is it because of the proliferation of processed food?
I am thinking maybe too much ba kwa during cny.

When I was young boy, I remember my uncles will consume those ba kwa like there is no tomorrow during the cny visit. Those days ba kwa not as expensive as now

Yes, stress is the precursor to many illnesses.

Last time was simpler without technology. At least the boss cannot contact you once out of office.
** now Whatapps also can include one community of different group. work till drop ah

AI Overview
To prepare for a colonoscopy in Singapore, follow a low-fiber diet for a few days, then a clear liquid diet the day before, and take a prescribed bowel prep (laxative) as directed by your doctor.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Dietary Changes:
  • Low-Fiber Diet (3 days before): Eat foods that are easy to digest and avoid high-fiber foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
  • Clear Liquid Diet (1 day before): Drink only clear liquids like water, clear broth, tea, coffee (without cream or milk), sports drinks, and clear juices (like apple or white grape). Avoid red, purple, or orange liquids as they can be mistaken for blood during the procedure.
  • Fasting (on the day of): You'll need to stop eating and drinking (except for prescribed medications with sips of water) several hours before the procedure, as instructed by your doctor.
Bowel Preparation:
  • Laxative: Your doctor will prescribe a specific bowel prep kit (laxative) to help clear your colon.
  • Timing: Follow the instructions on the bowel prep kit carefully, as the timing of taking the laxative will depend on the time of your colonoscopy.
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of clear liquids throughout the bowel prep process to stay hydrated.
Medications:
  • Inform your doctor: Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, especially if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, or take blood-thinning medications like aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), or warfarin (Coumadin).
  • Follow doctor's instructions: Your doctor will advise you on whether to continue or adjust your medications before the colonoscopy.
  • Iron supplements: Stop taking iron supplements 5 days before the procedure.
  • Diabetic medications: Stop oral diabetic medications when you start your bowel preparation and bring them with you on the day of the procedure.
Other Important Considerations:
  • Transportation: Arrange for someone to drive you home after the procedure, as you will be under sedation.
  • Arrival: Arrive at the hospital or clinic on time with your NRIC or birth certificate and any other required documents.
  • Questions: Don't hesitate to ask your doctor any questions you have about the preparation or the procedure

think now they recommend 45 and above
There is a big chart at level 16 of nuh clinic showing flow chart of whether one should go for scope. I remember it’s not 45, unless has family history. Just to add stool test with blood positive usually will follow up with scope.

I did my endoscopy and colonoscopy this year and found 7 polyps. They were non-cancerous and removed

I will probably have to do it again 2-3 years time due to family history

The endoscopy procedure is now far nicer than 20-30 years ago when you have to do it non-sedated

Thanks to me bo lui as well as all the greedy bakkwa sellers and F&B operators, I have not eaten bakkwa for 4 years and am eating less meat more veggies and fruits.

Every morning wake up I would pang a very solid nice sai with keyi colour, and nowadays I feel healthier compared to me in my thirties and early forties.

So far this is the only good thing I can think off for being poorer.

I told you guys already. Don't eat too much huoguo. The huoguo 底料 is very unhealthy, very oily, salty and too many seasoning, very high in cholesterol.

Not just on the brain but even on our skins

Some studies suggest that wearing a smart watch 24/7 can be dangerous too
