I think Harpeet deserved to be given 5 years in Parliament. His sense of fire wanting to make Singapore better cannot be fake unlike some other candidates from both the incumbent and alternative parties.

Those who sank roots in sg are largely ultimate haters of the ccp. Guess which party reminds them of CCP in singapore?
They become citizens here, will also share the same concerns as local citizens too.

The foreigners who take up SG's citizenshipss are mostly from Malaysia/Indonesia/China/India, the government there also autocratic in a way one

thus personally feel that when they come here and realise PAP also similar to their original government (CCP is a full-blown dictatorship at this point thus more extreme than the other countries) perhaps will be bit disappointed too.

they will be replace by newer foreigners and they will in turn vote opposition, this has always been the modus operandi of the pap

If these foreigners found out PAP is authoritarian like their own government and doesn't listen to their voices, they are also inclined to vote for opposition

Not surprised, most of the new citizens who eventually converted into Singapore Citizenship are from China/India/Malaysia/Indonesia ones.

Citizens who come here work and from other developed countries at most take PRs only e.g Angmohs. Most of them not interested in settling down here, unless they marry local spouse or etc.

The initial honeymoon is nice. New shiny passport can go a lot of places without the need of visa plus the citizenship ceremony will have the MIW welcoming you with huge smiles.

After the citizenship ceremony and the effect of a new passport wears off, the hard realities starts to hit.

Our visa think is only 1 or 2 countries more than Japan if not wrong (think is Iran + 1 more couuntry), not much difference overall.

Always remember how PAP justified its discriminatory treatment of opposition wards. For years, they linked upgrading of estates to supporting the PAP. When the Hougang resident asked if he can pay less taxes because of the unfairness, the then-PM said "No".
