US 10 year bonds sitting at 4.29%. not that high, but if other states were to lose confidence in the dollar and ditch their bonds, this can prove catastrophic for the US treasury, especially with Trump sabo-ing his own IRS...

I thought GoP are supposed to be masters at economics ?? but they cannot get their act together when it comes to federal finances. If you want others to value your currency, at least treat others as equals. This Trump admin is totally clueless.
What happens if other countries sell their bonds? Why is it a big deal? USA debt outstanding will still be outstanding, just that the creditor change

When the bond matured, you need to pay back the money. 1, America do not have that USD900B in cash 2, America has to find other buyers for their USD900B bond, who? If nobody wants to buy, then they have offer higher coupon rate(interest). 3, the prevailing interest rate is likely still much higher than few years ago, so if interest rate stays high as Powell refused to bow to Trump's pressure, America has to sell the bond at much higher coupon rate and high interest rate is a killer to the federal government. If they can't pay, the US government have to stop operating, not paying the civil servants or raise the debt ceiling forever... Like the few previous presidents did.

That's why the Chinese analyst should be right that, this tariffs war is actually Donald Trump's effort to save America government from bankruptcy... though overdone... At least he should not have done it to both allies and foes... Or perhaps he has calculated that even all the tariffs or extortion monies from his foes add together are not enough to save America and thus he roped in the allies too for this tariff war and it's back firing badly now?

And if you read his demand for the tariffs, there is only one conclusion. He needs money, lots and lots of money!

really bro? Will it drop alot?
A dead cat bounce is a short, weak rebound during a downtrend that lacks strong volume or momentum and often fails at resistance, while a **true rally** shows sustained gains, rising volume, and breaks key resistance with higher highs and higher lows.

What we are seeing is a dead cat. It will drop 25% - 30% at least. We are only at 20% before the cat bounce
