MRT Price Jump in April - Anyone Else Noticed This?

Has anyone noticed the MRT fare increase this April?

In February, a trip from my area A to B cost $0.87.

This week, taking the same route now costs $1.98. That’s a $1.11 increase.

Strangely, the return trip from B back to my area A hasn’t changed; it’s still the same fare as before.

Why don't check your simply go app and raise a request.

The SimplyGO app has only 3 claim reasons:

1. Tapped in & out with different cards or mobile device
2. Train breakdown
3. Concession card charged with adult fare.

where got less than $1 one .. you concessionary rate is it ?

London , Tokyo , Bangkok also don't have so cheap

Unless they have quietly increased the MRT fares this April.

Even straightforward transport fares can also have errors, wait till the distance based ERP2 starts.

I monitor my daily trips using gps, same route with no deviation, everyday the milage also not the same.

it's quite common to deduct incorrect fare due to whatever reason

you were undercharged.

pasir ris to tampines which is like one stop 2.4km $1.10+.

under $1 is child or concessionary rate. maybe off peak rate. the early bird rate.
