I remember late LKY gave advice to all opposition party.

Get yourself compete in a SMC 1vs 1, win it. Stablised it for 10 years. then move on to GRC. Don't be greedy and aim GRC at get go.

Think it works for WP. Look where they are now. The election is incumbent to lose. Opposition have a great disadvantage. Incumbent will use all the advantages it can use as an incumbent to make life difficult for opposition. So, want to win it, cannot succumb to the ego trip. Do that which is most practical given the odds.

They give handouts, you say they have ulterior motives of raising costs, they don't give handouts, you accuse them of saying that we are entitled and should diam diam. Regardless of them giving out handout or not, you would have something bad to say either way.

How about the way TCH cast aside the Ministerial Code of Conduct like some waste paper, just to defend the actions of the dynamic duo.

One of the two said needed a bigger house to have 3 generations to live together. I am very sure many Sinkies would love to do likewise, but cannot because their PAP Ministers believe we only need a small space for sex, and none would not do it for them but is okay with what TCH did.

Mix around with people at a certain level and it becomes easy for people like me, along with many others here in the forum too, to know who are the outright insincere ones and the ones who are trying not to be hypocrites.
