Wasted le. She can articulate very well and is a rare talent n the opposition camp. If she loses, will be a big blow to WP and opposition
She inspired many from her Alma Mater to serve in politics or for opposition! She is very crucial to the team. :(

Higher allowances for full-time NSmen, stronger food security

As he moves on to the last section of the manifesto, incumbent Aljunied GRC MP Gerald Giam touches on issues relating to security and geopolitics in the manifesto.

He says that national defence is the core responsibility of any government and underpins our national resilience. He adds that WP supports maintaining and building up a strong military to protect Singapore’s sovereignty and security.

Among the suggestions that the party has put forward are stronger countermeasures against grey zone tactics and raising the median allowances for full-time national servicemen to a median wage of $1,600 per month to “better reflect the contributions and sacrifices that our young men make”.

Mr Giam also highlights the need for Singapore to strengthen its food security.

Among the proposals is an increase in local farm uptake of locally produced food by major institutional buyers, which will promote the market viability of local farmers and enhance national food security.
I must say WP strategy is a smart one, instead of for the sake of opposing they oppose, they bring to the table of different angles that they see issues and counter propose on what PAP has created. PAP stuffs are usually of high std, but still it has blind spots and blemishes, WP job is to improvise and make it even better.

ground is really sweet for WP this GE2025

since the ground for whites is so sour especially with COL issues

everyone is saying WP is going to win at least 2 more GRCs

personally I think 2 additional GRCs for WP is a double confirm certainty

an additional 3rd one probably can only happen in GE2030

but it is very good if an additional 3rd one materializes this GE2025

after all anyone voting WP are going to get 1 for 1 service from whites

everything to win and nothing to lose in such a 1 for 1 environment
bro, pls share me what drug you on

Very optimistic. I don’t dare to think they can win one more let alone two. But I seriously hope you are right

Singapore should establish a foreign aid agency, the Singapore Agency for International Development, to direct ODA more effectively. Efforts should focus particularly on our Southeast Asian neighbours, and assist in their economic development and capacity building.

WTF is this? I thought their slogan is Working for Singapore?

The manifesto contains 125 policy proposals across five sections, calling for GST exemptions, minimum wage and a wealth tax among other measures.

Workers’ Party (WP) member Jamus Lim outlined the party’s position on the US-imposed tariff situation during the launch of the party’s manifesto on Thursday (Apr 17). Mr Lim said he had framed some of their policy proposals “in terms of how they would help Singaporeans to cater to the ongoing trade tensions” and added that he looks forward to being able to “scrutinise and debate these issues in the context of parliament” if given the opportunity to.

WP member Gerald Giam emphasised that it is important “not to only focus on the negatives” when it comes to tariff issues. “Because in every crisis, there will always be opportunities that we can take advantage of. And we must be nimble and we must be able to make a shift quickly in policies,” he said.

Overly optimistic.

Probably may stand a chance if all of Singapore's boomer or pioneer generation people have passed away.

A friendly reminder: EDMW or online opposition supporters form only the minority of voters.

The king makers will always be the silent majority, who will vote guess you know who lor.

I'm not boomer but i don't get the boomer blame. Most of my boomer colleagues hate pap.
Meanwhile its the millennials who are earning above median salary, everyday drink starbucks eat good food, enjoying their life who votes for the incumbent
