PAR on the notice board for Radin Mas

The People’s Alliance for Reform (PAR) has submitted its nomination for Radin Mas SMC.

A three-way fight may be brewing in the single-seat constituency with the alliance’s Mr Kumar Appavoo potentially facing off PAP’s Melvin Yong and independent candidate Darryl Lo.

Mr Kumar previously contested the SMC in the 2015 and 2020 general elections under the Reform Party banner - one of three parties in PAR. He lost to Mr Yong both times.

Meanwhile, Mr Lo, a Singapore Management University law graduate, has also filed his papers. The 28-year-old had announced his intention to be nominated in an Instagram post last week.

Three-cornered fight in Sembawang GRC

The first names to go up on the notice board for Sembawang GRC are of the PAP’s team. No surprises here, with Health Minister Ong Ye Kung leading a team that has two new members, Mr Gabriel Lam and Mr Ng Shi Xuan. The other two, Ms Marian Jaafar and Mr Vikram Nair, are from the 2020 team.

They are followed closely by the slate from NSP, which was announced about two hours ago. Led by party chief Spencer Ng, it comprises Mr Raiyian Chia, Ms Verina Ong, Mr Lee Wei and Mr Yadzeth Hairis.

The names of SDP’s candidates have also been pinned. They include party vice-chairman Bryan Lim, veteran Dr James Gomez, as well as Ms Surayah Akbar, Mr Damanhuri Abas and Alfred Tan.

Potential walkover for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC

A potential walkover is on the cards for the five-member Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, as no Workers’ Party candidates have shown up to submit nomination papers yet.

While a few WP new face,s including Jeraldine Phneah and Linda Lo,w were spotted earlier, they appeared to have entered the nomination centre briefly before exiting the building.

why enter but left the building? application not approved?

Four-cornered fight in Tampines GRC

NSP and PPP have filed their nomination papers for Tampines GRC.

PPP’s line-up comprises party chief Goh Meng Seng, Derrick Sim, Vere Nathan, Peter Soh and Arbaah Haroun.

NSP’s slate, meanwhile, is made up Reno Fong, Mohd Ridzwan Mohammad, Zee Phay, Thamilselvan Karuppayya and Eugene Yeo.

This means Tampines GRC is set for a four-cornered fight, with WP also contesting the constituency.
