WP not contesting Marine Parade-Braddell Heights to focus on smaller number of constituencies

In a Facebook post, WP chief Pritam Singh explained his party’s decision not to contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights.

This is in order to give the party the best chance of electoral success, he said, adding that it was a very difficult decision for WP.

“After much reflection and careful consideration, we have determined that in order to continue fighting for the principles and changes we all believe in, and to give our candidates the best chance of electoral success, the Party must focus its best efforts this GE on a smaller number of constituencies than we would have hoped to contest,” he said.

He added that the party aims to restart its outreach in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC after GE2025.
