I also think Gan is working and dun mug sling. Good guy. But can he win in punggol where he never serves before?

I'm not familiar with Punggol, I would have thought they have the spillover effect from SK GRC.

Regardless, WP's strongest / 2nd strongest slate is in Punggol. If they cannot convince the voters there, the other kacang puteh party can bye bye already.

The other one to watch out is West Coast Jurong West. I think Desmond Lee may not get the mandate this time round, just my hunch

I stay in punggol west, and personally I like SXL since I can feel her presence in many community events. She is soft spoken and more humble compared to the rest of hao lian PAP's MP.

But I feel there should be more checks and balances for the PAP. As of now, I still vouch for SXL unless there is a strong candidate from WP contesting in Punggol GRC
nice to know someone who also stay at punggol west

I hope WP loose their deposit....one time gaolat gaolat forever dune to come.
Punggol is not Sengkang.

PAP done up so much things so nice in Punggol... Not for WP to just walk in takeover pluck their fruits of labor. ...

Sengkang and Punggol, demographics pretty similar.
If Sengkang prefers what is offerred by one party, it is quite likely that Punggol is the same.

But anything can happen. The margins are not huge unlike Aljunied in 2020 where WP got nearly 60%.

Swing votes are the ones that the parties have to canvass for.

The die-hards incumbent / opposition will always be there. I reckon a 30% / 40% split, residual 30% swing voters.

Then in areas like PAP stronghold, maybe 20% diehard oppo and 60% diehard PAP, and 20% swing votes.

That's how some SMC / GRC can get 70+% or 80%.

TCB's Ayer Rajah SMC in 2001 @ 88% is still the best record of all time. That's why it's no surprise that in their first debut last GE they managed to get close to 49%
