The kopitiams are not near Temasek JC. Still have to climb a slope to reach it.

He contested in Aljunied GRC under WP in 2006 and the team lost. He then spent his time to jjww at sammyboy chit chat (non sexual) forum, instead of doing more ground work so that he can do better in the next election. WP came to know about it and asked him to stop. He didn't listen and got booted out.

Came 2011, LTK stepped out of Hougang SMC, went for Aljunied GRC and won. GMS would most likely be in that team had he not got booted out.

The WP’s Tampines GRC candidates Jimmy Tan, Ong Lue Ping, Eileen Chong, and Michael Thng were at a hawker centre near Tampines Mart this afternoon distributing fliers and speaking with residents.

With them was Tampines Changkat SMC candidate Kenneth Foo.

Party vice-chair Faisal Manap, who is leading the 5-member Tampines team, was not at the walkabout as he was at an interview.

As the team handed out fliers with the party’s manifesto, Mr Thng was heard urging residents to "please consider" supporting the opposition in the election.

Tampines resident Rita Harfazoo, 56, said that she was surprised to learn that the constituency would see three opposition parties duking it out with the incumbent PAP.

She added that she was very happy about WP's foray into Tampines this election.

"Putting Mr Faisal here is a really good move. He's been fighting a lot for the Malay/Muslim community in Parliament, and I respect him for it," she said.

I think Charlene Chen quite dulan already.. since beginning of the year, she participate in a lot of Tampines PAP activities as a stand in for Cheng Li Hui.. maybe think the opposition super weak in Tampines, sure win.. but now got chance her 4+ months of work could be for nothing..

Should be a very close call. Too many changes and new factors within the past 5 years.
