I beg to differ. As mentioned yesterday, the kingmaker for Tampines GRC is the Malay-Muslim communities. Faisal worked hard to bring up the obstacles faced by Malay-Muslims in Parliament.

Every 1 out of 4 voters in Tampines GRC is Malay electorate which consists of 24% of the overall Tampines population.

If out of 24%, 15-18% Malay-Muslims voters swing their vote to Faisal Manap (which is not impossible cus of unpopular Masagos) and WP just need to shore up the remaining 32-35% out of 76% electorates which are Chinese/Indians.

The real battleground this election with chances to flip is Tampines GRC.
I agree! I think sending the ace team there speaks volumes?
Tampines could really go either way, but it’ll be a good fight.

if people bother reading the manifesto, they would have known that WP also wants government to recognise Palestine as a state, which is something that many Malay-Muslims are concerned with.
Yes exactly. Some chinese are turned off by such ideas in WP's manifesto. But the Palestine thingy in WP manifesto aims to pull Malay's votes especially in Tampines GRC.

Last election NSP still can get 33% despite not being the popular oppo party. I voted them because I don't want to vote PAP nor spoil my vote. Think there are those who voted PAP as they don't know who the NSP people are.

This time round WP is the challenger with much better brand name. Mr Faisal also had a good showing parliament against incumbent Masagos about the tudung issue. Think the muslim community might appreciate his efforts more than Masagos.

I got a feeling Tampines might really flip to WP this time round.

I think WP is right to put in the Palestine in their manifesto.

WP said they want to hear our concerns and bring them to Parliament. They did it. This is the concerns of our malay muslim community.

So they are not “fxxxing populist” party.

I stay near the hub but rarely go cos no sheltered walkway there. So many years and they didn’t even bother to build one? Also the estate is infested with roaches and moths. So freaking dirty.

Not really. Most of them are non-residents' comments. Only 1 resident had posted so far that he thinks WP has no chance. Quite a few who are residents are hopeful for a close fight.
