Can someone explain.. since tch was retiring, who was supposed to be in punggol if tsl and guy didn't move? This meant punggol would have voted in someone who had retirement on the cards?

Should be SXL main carry with that new guy who had moved to MP GRC.

Are you sure? If true, this will be the first DPM fallen from grace in Singapore political history.

This will be a shock to the MIW.

I think PAP mentally prepared (even though I think outcome may be similar to East Coast GRC in 2020). If not why not TSL to Punggol instead?

I think the GKY move to punggol is PAP last resort plan to defend punggol. GKY probably semi retirement mode liao. At most last 1 more term. So if he gets voted out, PAP will just treat it as giving him early retirement. Quite a low move from PAP to use GKY in this way imo.
Why did Gan want to accept such risk? Why not like HSK, TCH and Ng retired at their glory, and not defeated and kena kicked out of politics. This shows Gan has the courage to accept defeat if it happened.

Yes....she is the best for the MW.

39% of Punggol West voted for an unknown WP candidate in 2020.

But in this team of 4, I agree she is the strongest. Now is for Punggol residents to decide if they want more alternative voices that can speak up for them in parliament or status quo.

Say until SXL so strong so strong she also won by 60% nia. Compared to TinTin, she is nothing.
Even disgraceful can hold up Yuhua with 70%.

Just think about it.

A colleague at your company resigns and is serving their notice period. Do you think the company would still assign them critical responsibilities during that final month? Or do you think your colleague would still be highly motivated and fully committed in their last days?

It’s obvious to anyone that GKY just going through the motions.

He already for sure secured a comfortable retirement, so now he is just coasting. Even if he win this election, he will likely retire in five years. Right now, to GKY punggol is like his retirement home.

Punggol residents should ask themselves

Do they want to vote for someone who’s already in an "ORD mood" (mentally checked out), unlikely to put in much work over the next five years?

Or do they want someone who will work tirelessly on the ground and in Parliament. A newcomer eager to prove themselves, committed to serving not just five, but possibly ten or more years? This candidate won’t have a "notice period" mindset but will instead be fully driven to deliver results.
