Doesn’t matter all whether he is good or not. What matters is to him is “I won”. I have the mandate of the people now!

He can use the victory to shut the fxxx up of those who spoke ill of him in the past. This is what most important to him. He will now regain his face. Can stand up straight in parliament or outside now.

Jalan Kayu voters did not even care when he is lousy or trying to sell NTUC. To them, who can bring the best benefits to the estate, they will vote for that candidate even if he is a ****. Just looked at Bukit Batok in the past elections. Any PAP newbie can defeat any candidate from the opposition. It is the same logic for all the SMCs.

SKGRC on GE2020 also somewhat new and had no WP veteran up against NCM and his crew and won. NCM was parachuted in on his debut. Now with the NTUC sellout saga behind him I think Andre stand a chance.

The problem is that the Jalan Kayu people don't know Andre, nor is the NTUC sellout a big enough saga.

The people there probably only know the incumbent party.

So by keeping chatter low, and keeping a low profile, it's to the advantage of the incumbent.

Don't let Andre become another Jamus.

SK was different that time. Lam was primary person who brought the defeat of PAP team.

You pick someone diametrically opposite to the opponent to contrast against the competition. He's new, fresh, energetic, and most importantly, likeable.

You put a more branded candidate there, there's no guarantee that the outcome will be any better. What WP needs now, is a black swan event that turned the attention to Andre, in a positive way.

I don't think this is true. AMK GRC won with 71% leh. Not even close to borderline. It could be used to tank more opposition votes.

I beg to differ. Election is all about winning.

If you placed a weak candidate, the probability of winning is low.

If PS placed Mr Happy or Dang there, the odd would be higher.

PS is ambitious. He wanted to take on GRC instead. That’s why he placed his A team in Punggol.

Yes. He certainly will win because WP candidate is too weak. NCM has more than 5 years of media exposure while Andre has zero. If you asked anyone staying in Jalan Kaya, how many of them don’t recognise NCM compared to Andre.

This is why PAP is quite confident that NCM will redeem himself this time. With the win, it can be used to all the mouths that spoke ill of him in the past.

Anyway, he will thank PS for sending a small kid there so that he could cruise easily.

I feel the same way. Big misstep for Pritam to send a newcomer against a political veteran. Should have sent Sylvia to contest.
