Three days in, and it’s been a bit of everything — fun, challenging, and, if I'm honest, a little tiring too.

The highlight has definitely been the warm interactions with residents — whether it’s a quick wave, a chat at the gate, or a longer conversation about their hopes for the future.
The only “scolding” we got was for taking so long to come to Tampines to contest.
💙

Onto the final week!

No place for foreign intervention in local politics: NSP president Reno Fong

The NSP president said there is no place for foreign intervention in local politics.

“We constantly remind our members about it,” said Mr Reno Fong, during a walkabout in Tampines Street 32 today.

“Singapore politics is only for Singaporeans.”

On how NSP steers clear of foreign interference, Mr Fong said: “What we can do is constantly keep in touch with (party members), remind them to keep in touch with us when such instances do occur.”

Mr Fong is contesting Tampines GRC, alongside four teammates. They will be facing off against PAP, WP, and the PPP.

He said that residents they met on walkabouts in Tampines have appeared supportive.

He added: “We hope that voters, especially the swing voters, will consider seriously, since it's a multi-cornered fight. So the votes in their hands are very important."

Set politics aside. I am a chinese. It is indeed true that malays community is more untied . In fact Malays r very helpful, friendly, GENEROUS and charity. I love to have as my Malay neighbours rather than Chinese.
Yes. I am Chinese and I got two Malay neighbours. During CNY they are the only ones who came with oranges and goodies.

I stay near the hub but rarely go cos no sheltered walkway there. So many years and they didn’t even bother to build one? Also the estate is infested with roaches and moths. So freaking dirty.
Correct. What's the point of having such a big structure but once it rains, there's no way to get here without getting drenched unless by driving or PHV.

hope so but I think tampines hub may save PAP by a small margin. never underestimate the daftness of sinkies :o
Tampines Hub was the idea of HSK. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that Masagos and team is just riding on the success of HSK. You can imagine the fury of Tampines residents with HSK appeared with East Coast plan in 2020.

NSP got 35% in the previous election. So a strong opposition stands a good chance.

WP will definitely get above 40%, not sure if NSP will get some of the swing votes though.
