Because of battery needs and the inclusion of more hardware like cameras. Space x falcon resize is on different payloads, thrust power and control of re entries for reusing the rocket.

You know what tech is? The apple silicon or snapdragon chip getting smaller in size. Your bezels getting smaller in size, your phone getting thinner. What steve jobs did best? Your cds, albums all into one pocketable ipod.
