Not siding anyone, what i say applies to PAP and all other party as well.. No big deal even if he really cannot speak hokkien.. These days how many youngster know dialect even, even mine also half baked..

As long as someone in the MPS (be it volunteers or assistant) knows or willing to find out and resolve the resident problem accordingly, does it really matter if the MP know or can communicate in hokkien or not??

Tiagong some times, MP dont even show up during MPS, even if they very well-verse in hokkien got what use? Some MP are even scholars or grad from prestige uni and led a elite lifestyle maybe never even live a single day in hdb.. by ur logic, how will they even understand the problems the residents that lives in hdb, earning below median wage, maybe boomers that dont even have psle cert have?

Hospital A&E staff, potentially life threatening one, i dont think every single one of them know all the different dialects either in fact even mandarin also dying off liao, u still expecting hokkien?!
