This trade war is serious matter. Singapore's trade is 3 times our GDP. Trade war will seriously affect us. It's a matter of job and livelihood.
With Gan Kim Yong being the key man in fighting this trade war, even if not happy with PAP, I think got to think twice taking risk with our vote this round.

Then why did PAP decide to risk the future of SG if Gan is THE KEY person in fighting the trade war?

Punggol GRC was newly formed. Did she walk the entire GRC over the years?

Of cos not lah ...... she walked to my ward yesterday, one bus stop away from her ward. .... why would she if it's not part of a GRC. It's like finally seeing the SXL in person.... but she didn't bothered to engage me. Maybe she expected me to go shake her hands first.

Some of the arguments put forth here are really I dunno what to say....SXL walked her ward.....nothing to do with me. Why didn't she fill in for my MP who walked to One Punggol only?

If you are unhappy about this, you should fully blame LW for moving GKY to Punggol at the last minute on nomination day which has caused this situation.

GKY was an MP of CCK for 20 years and had already built a long relationship with CCK residents, but he was suddenly parachuted Punggol by LW for political reasons. LW has put PAP political interest ahead of Singapore's interest, that is very bad.

Losing 1 minister no matter how important shouldn't retard Singapore's political landscape.

I'm prepared to lose a few more ministers, Singapore can survive this. We already survived COVID, supposedly the crisis of a generation. Surely we can beat the tariffs.

It is the same strategy they used in GE2020, when ex-DPM Heng went to East Coast at the last minute.

Do you know what DPM Gan's name was handwritten on the nomination forms when the rest of his teammates' particulars were printed on? That goes to show how abrupt the change was. I'm even willing to bet that he wasn't notified of the change until that morning itself.
