WP’s Dennis Tan greets residents in Hougang; inflatable hammers for sale at provision shop

WP candidate for Hougang SMC, Mr Dennis Tan, was out early in the morning greeting residents at Block 322 Hougang Avenue 5.

He chatted with the breakfast crowd, asking residents how they were as he made his rounds.

At a nearby provision shop, inflatable WP hammers were spotted for sale at $4 each.

Mr Willy (above), 64, a Hougang resident, said he has been helping the shop owner to inflate the hammers.

My friend told me that during the PAP rally, Ong Ye Kung mentioned upgrading or maintaining mosques in Singapore. It seems they can involve religion, but not the opposition. Is that fair ?

Thumping majority

99.9% of voters will vote them in.. Wan Tsui!

remaining 0.1% are trouble makers or dun wan Singapore to have wise leadership from PAP.
In any country including Schweiz, there are always people unhappy of the ruling party. There is no way to make everyone happy. The most important thing of the majoirty who are sound minded vote seriously.

that's how Donald Trump became potus
This is one of many cases where foreign issues are brought into Singapore where it doesn't apply.

Trump won because the people who didn't like him didn't have anyone else to vote. 1/3 of eligible voters didn't show up at all.

Singapore don't have this problem. We never had voter turnout issue, we never had spoiled votes issue.

No matter what is said, PAP will return to power with a majority.

Is this majority large or small?

If so, nothing to lose… send more oppositions into parliament…..Checks and balances needed to ensure Government accountability

They will blame the incumbent instead of their favourite party that told them it's just fear mongering.

Plus bashing me and anyone who cautioned on the impact on the economy for fear mongering.

Is no fear mongering. This is real and happening around the world. poeple starting feeling it. Look at US. They are now worst than before Trump comes in. And this very people voyed Trump, end up hanging themselves, now. :(

Aiya, those new citizens and working in civil sectors will vote their master.

There will always be people that are afraid of changes and yet kpkb but refuse to change due to their rice bowl or status.

These kind of people most of time are snakes

end of the day, the silent majority will determine the results.. and they have increased in numbers as you can see from all those certificate ceremonies
Agree.
Especially those that try very hard to leave their country one, yet come here to be die hard fans of pro establishment. Supporting what elements that they hate back in their own country

2015 the year Lee Kuan Yew died. Doesn’t happen again.

It’s also sinkies’ biggest mistake. Sinkies voted a dead man instead of carefully considering the real people going to run their lives.

... For the first time, I enjoy this Mr Loo's video... Enjoyed seeing his frustration why many in the ground failing to understand economic 101 and voting out of anger instead of voting out of logic and economic concerns.

Seng Kang at risks

Aljunied should be safe. Just went to see my regular GP in Serangoon. He said many folks here angry with PAP for the unfair treatment to WP.

Simply put, you voted for opposition, you won't get what those government wards get.

Like eg, DPP government vs KMT local government vs DPP local government, of course the central government would likely to favour DPP local government in fundings and treatment.

So so so, ah soh, mai complain and angry if there is lesser projects or funding for those belong to the opp ward.
