Why didn't AL visits the residents? Did he make any effort to reach out to the residents? He simply ask the residents to FxxK Off in his private chat.

He appears to be so wholesome and proclaim to serve and help the residents with all his hearts on National TV. What a hypocrite and betray the trust the residents have placed on him.

Ncm also betrayed the trust policy holders put in ntuc insurance... Worse is he doesn't address the issue...

Actually if you hear the explanation from Minister from podcast. Actually it does make sense to increase GST.

Remove GST as suggested by some or reduce the rate is not impossible once you increase it however. Because prices won’t come down. Businessman won’t decrease prices because you decrease GST

Imo, they control the media and social engineering of Singaporeans. But when some perceived bad behavior happens, they quickly wash hands and disown the child they nurtured in the social experiment. But when something good happens, they take credit for their "guidance". This was my takeaway from that "xia suay" comment.

Now start replacing with FTs and new citizens because of their failing social experiment in the controlled environment. Case in point that some locals are just easy prey for scammers. And to be fair, we have to also acknowledge that it is coupled by dynamic changes in the world economic environment that necessitate them to complement our local workforce with certain human resources and skills.

In the "xia suay" comment context. Look at all other countries around the world, they had the same mass behavior of hoarding during any crisis too (China and USA included)

The incumbent seems to have been too quick to wash hands and disown for their own sake and image.

Then move to a progressive tax system scheme like the WP/PSP/SDP has been advocating for all along la.

In the 1st place, taxing essentials makes no sense.

The government should look to implementing wealth tax/estate tax/inheritance tax and luxury goods taxes, etc.

SG has a very serious inequality issue. The Rich-poor gap is widening at an alarming pace.


They simply are doing their best to avoid taxing the wealthier and billionaires more, which should definitely be done.

UNHWs who come here to park their wealth and Jack up property prices + increase cost of livings, etc. should definitely be taxed more.

They rather get tax revenue from essentials from salt and water, etc. which impact us ordinary citizens (Middle Income/Lower Income) than to implement wealth/estate/inheritance tax/luxury goods, etc. and increase corporate income tax rate.
