PAP candidates arrive at various counting centres
Several PAP candidates have arrived at counting centres after polls closed at 8pm.
PAP’s East Coast GRC candidate Edwin Tong, who was seen at Opera Estate Primary School, told the media that the sample count is still in its “early days” and there is “a long night ahead of us”.
“Hopefully, we’ll get good news at the end of the night,” he said, adding that he will be going to another counting centre in St Stephens School, before deciding if he will go to other counting centres as well.
Mr Tong also thanked his supporters and his team and said he appreciated them for being encouraging and vocal in their support.
Mr Jackson Lam, one of PAP’s Nee Soon GRC candidates was also seen arriving at Chongfu School in Yishun just after 8.20pm.

Incumbent for Bukit Panjang SMC Liang Eng Hwa, who arrived at Zhenghua Primary School close to 8.30pm, told reporters he will speak to the media later.
