Let’s wait for final result: Theodora Lai

PAP candidate for Sengkang GRC Theodora Lai stopped briefly to speak to The Straits Times as she left the counting centre in Nan Chiau High School at about 9.30pm.

“We will have to wait for the final result,” she said.

Earlier in the night, WP candidates for Sengkang GRC, Associate Professor Jamus Lim and Mr Abdul Muhaimin, were at the counting centre to observe the ballot counting process. The pair left after about 25 minutes, waving as they drove away, but did not speak to the media.

The WP had won Sengkang GRC by a narrow four-point margin in the GE2020 - a major electoral upset for the ruling PAP.

How come East Coast GRC take so long?

Should be a comfortable win for PAP since Edwin Tong is there.

4-cornered fight in Tampines does Not bode well too, considering the results so far.
