I think we all already knew that MIW would still win this one, only question is by how much. I'm more interested in the total number that voted for MIW this election as part of the total. And compare that to their percentage of seats in parliament, see how big the difference is. To me, that affects the perception of gerrymandering.

Of course. And blame boomers? Please…
My millennial acquaintances, I have 3 groups who are super duper pro-PAP. It’s not like we think just boomers and new citizens.
Indeed.
You guys should go be volunteers and walk the ground for just a few days,
Last time Elderlies I would say at least still got a 25-30% core oppo supporters.
Now? With a huge chunk of elderlies (both papies n oppo supporters) gone,
and u guys thinking younger generation got hope,
the results becomes 80+% vs 20%. Even with the votes from new citizens, it won't be so terrible.
In fact young Sinkies seem even more bochup than boomers.

aiyah. next GE who knows? Maybe landslide for opposition is also a possible too.
Base on past GEs. 2011, Opposition, 2015 PAP, 2020 Opposition. and now 2025 PAP again. Such patterns can tell you something isn't it?

Yes wp did well.
We should not forget one more thing, they are able to recruit many talented new people while pap only recruit generals.

That is going to be big next election.
actually the rest of the oppo done badly is good in a way. So now those qualified ppl will join WP and thus consolidate the opposition into one party WP.

Same like many other countries with 2 big parties.. too many oppo party spoil things lo

behind LMW isnt just him alone but a group of ppl too

with this high % from PAP, the west side is really very very strong pro PAP
Yea sorry I oversimplified PSP efforts but it’s not just a loss but a real deterioration in vote percentage that is alarming

We have some hope in Gen Zs, as seen from my volunteering this time. Their lives will be harder for the ones from low-medium income family. The ones whose parents are doing well won’t be bothered.

but they are the ones slapped with expensive BTOs (not resale), no jobs even from NUS/NTU/SMU, and expensive healthcare.

but yes I agree once the older hardcore opposition supporters die out, left millnnials ggwp
