Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam’s refreshed PAP team won Nee Soon GRC with 73.81 per cent of the vote share, versus RDU with 26.19 per cent.

Addressing supporters at Yio Chu Kang Stadium tonight, Mr Shanmugam thanked residents for their trust.

“You know that we will do everything we can to make sure the trust is merited,” he said. “We will work on the ground. We will put residents first and we will work for you, in the same way that we have worked all these years.”

Acknowledging that most of his team are newcomers, Mr Shanmugam said that their values and principles are the same.
