History has shown that to win GRC you need a lot of showmanship (LTK with Aljunied and Jamus with SK). Faisal's team argubly Mike Thng doesnt have that amount of showmanship as the former 2.
There is limited air time and mind share among voters. The more WP contest, the less attention each candidate gets. It's a double edged sword.

This is why I believe that Andre net gained from his saga.

Bet your house now. 5 years Chee will like BB work the ground then voila, got absorbed in GRC.

The higher powers will NEVER EVER entertain the thought of someone making them look stupid in parliament.

‘My jaw dropped when I saw Bukit Panjang’s results’: SDP chief Chee Soon Juan

“It’s been a very disappointing set of results across the board… "My jaw just dropped when I saw Bukit Panjang’s results, as well as our two other constituencies in Sembawang and Marsiling-Yew Tee,” said Singapore Democratic Party’s chief Chee Soon Juan at MOE (Evans) Stadium.

PAP won Bukit Panjang SMC with 61.41 per cent of votes, with SDP raking in the remaining.

Dr Chee lost Sembawang West SMC at 46.81 per cent to PAP’s Poh Li San, who got 53.19 per cent of the votes.

PAP garnered 67.75 per cent of votes in Sembawang GRC with SDP at 29.93 per cent.

SDP also received 26.54 per cent of votes in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, with PAP winning at 73.46 per cent.

He thanked all his supporters for their “enthusiastic support, (but) I just wish we had better results for you”.

“If there is any consolation… we ran the best campaign that we could and with your support, I just think we managed to soar,” he said, before being presented with flowers by a long-time supporter.

I feel sad for CSJ

He deserves to be NCMP

Hope Pritam can make way and give chance to CSJ
Agreed wholeheartedly…
PS should see how CSJ has worked all his life for sg…
If PS has a ♥️ he will give up but the person in charge might not agree …

God will show hands soon…
Trust me…
My friend hubby set me up and I lost hundred of thousand $…
He died unexpectedly with a simple flu soon after retiring… all within a week without enjoying his fruits from retirement…
Karma does come back to bite…

PAP’s win in Tanjong Pagar is its best-ever performance in a GRC

Tanjong Pagar has become the PAP’s best-ever performing GRC since such electoral divisions were created in 1988.

With 81.03 per cent of the vote, the PAP team won in a landslide against the People’s Alliance for Reform (PAR).

This surpasses the party’s 2001 win in Jurong GRC, its previous strongest showing with 79.75 per cent of the vote against the Singapore Democratic Party.

Jurong GRC was also the PAP’s best-performing GRC in the last two elections, where it secured 79.29 per cent of the vote in GE2015 and 74.61 per cent in GE2020.

2 disappointments from this GE 2025
- Tambyah not even being able to crack 40%. A multitude of factors imo:
- fear (US tarifs)
- $1 meal
- non-voters (take leave on Friday, chiong long weekend)
- WP barely cracking 40% in East Coast. Yee Jenn Jong not being able to get NCMP spot.

I think EDMWers main disappointment is Alexis Dang not being to get into Parliament, either as MP or NCMP.

Not worth... Ncm even can go in means pap supports R blind. Just let sg die
Yup.
With new sg swarming in…
I don’t see how sg can survive comfortably if it doesn’t put a stop to it…
It might come a day, sg won’t b able to stand on its own shore…

Jamus Lim thanks voters for ‘keeping the flickering flame of an alternative flame alive’

Speaking to the crowd at Serangoon Stadium at about 1am, WP’s Sengkang candidate Jamus Lim said: “Thank you for keeping the flickering flame of an alternative flame alive in Singapore...so once again, gam sia (thank you) Sengkang.”

Mr Lim and his team retained Sengkang GRC, winning 56.31 per cent of the vote in the constituency against the PAP.

His teammate Louis Chua said in Mandarin that his team is extremely glad to be able to work hard for residents again for the next five years.
