I think PS probably prefer a new team in a new place to build their base and work for the role instead of riding on his and Aljunied team coattails. They are not PAP that will parachute newbie into other coattails.

Cause logic tells me they can't take the risk especially given the unfair trial gainst PS. And they didn't have much old faces. But I'm still.questiomimg why they did not file LLL at jalan kayu or punggol.

LLL might not want to stand. And LLL contrasts poorly against NCM.

An election is first and foremost a popularity context. With Andre, they can run a campaign of differentiation against the public persona of NCM. The added help on Allianz was unexpected and WP could not have factored that in.

As it turned out, Andre connected well with the residents here given that just had 9 days to show his face.

Either that or OYK/LW/CCS got power struggle inside. Usually got 1 party state, the transition to a more democratic country is when got split inside the dominant party one.

MY and TW are examples of that, 1 of the main factions defect then party got split.

Harpoon failed to capture Punggol:s imagination and excitement, like Jamus did. He was rather timid as a leader.

Jamus was one of a kind and even so, there are people who disliked Jamus's profile.

There's no one size fits all. Ultimately in a GRC, you need a good mix of profiles that would capture a spectrum of voters.
