"It all happened a long time ago," Mr Goi told Bloomberg, referring to the gatherings. "Let it drop."

goi says invited friends. so any or all 3 ministars are friends of his? or who extended the invite?

ncm say is engagement, then wouldnt the gathering not be a friends dinner?

and three ministars have a common link - ministry of education between 2015 to 2018. explains why specifically these 3 are present?

It’s only 4 or 5 years ago max. What CSJ did 20-25 years ago is still being used against him. Why should he have special treatment? Just because he is rich?

He better be careful of karma if he is doing wrong things.

Ng Chee Meng met Fujian gang member Su Haijin at engagement session, had no further interactions

"As the secretary-general of NTUC, it is part of my work to engage with different companies and private sector leaders. These engagements help me better understand the concerns and challenges in different industries," Mr Ng said in response to media queries.

"At these engagements, people would often approach me for photographs. This dinner was one such engagement. It took place some time back."
so is it engagement session or dinner? or maybe different places, different times. Must see how Su was dressed

Sam Goi “ let it drop” in Chinese means 不要再追究.

is there any dirt underneath that statement?

Goi scare if ppl continued to 追根究底 will had very serious consequences?

he should know the Chinese phrase as a Chinese educated businessman the meaning of : 平时不做亏心事,半夜敲门也不驚.
obs probably said the same thing.......

S’porean businessman Sam Goi says he organised & paid for dinners with politicians & Su Haijin

Mr Goi stated that the dinners were "all for friends".

Singaporean businessman Sam Goi organised dinners with Ministers & Su Haijin, says to ‘let it drop’

Singaporean businessman Sam Goi stated that he organised the dinners that involved both Singaporean Ministers and convicted money launderer Su Haijin.

The photos, released by former Reform Party (RP) chairman Charles Yeo, showed Su with Health Minister Ong Ye Kung and Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat.

Another one also included Su sitting with NTUC secretary-general Ng Chee Meng.

Mr Ong & Mr Chee’s press secretaries released a joint statement stating that the Ministers attended the dinners at the invitation of a friend.

‘Popiah King’ Sam Goi says meals were for friends

Singaporean businessman Sam Goi told Bloomberg News that he was the one who organised the dinners.

Mr Goi owns Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing and is known as “Popiah King” due to the company’s spring roll pastries.

He stated that the meals were “all for friends” and that he paid for them.

They supposedly took place around 2020, prior to the implementation of stricter Covid-19 restrictions.

Mr Goi could be seen in the group photos, including Mr Ong, Mr Chee, and Su.

He claimed that he hadn’t kept in touch with the convicted money launderer, whom police arrested in 2023.

“It all happened a long time ago,” Mr Goi said of the dinners. “Let it drop.”

However, a recent Instagram story post by Charles Yeo on 7 May asserted that Sam Goi was “lying”, saying that the meeting happened not before the Covid-19 pandemic but in 2021.

Moreover, Mr Yeo alleged that Mr Goi “wanted the investments” of Su’s “black money”.

Ministers & Ng Chee Meng deny dealings with Su

Both Mr Ong and Mr Chee stated that they do not know Su personally and have had no dealings with him before or since these occasions.

Mr Ng also responded later the same day, claiming he met Su at an engagement as part of his work in NTUC.

“I learnt later about the police investigations and subsequent criminal charges against Su. Thereafter, I had no further interactions with him.”

Mr Ng, who won a narrow GE2025 contest for Jalan Kayu SMC, has requested Prime Minister (PM) Lawrence Wong not to assign him any government positions.

He is determined a "liar" after the court sentenced him as so after COI... Do those ministers and NCM need a COI to determine whether they have followed proper procedures? Or, is everything based on own self check own self? Why Iswaran case was different?
So you agree that your Pritam lied, and 34.43% said it's OK! it's OK! we will still vote for you!

That being the case, what's the point of having a BE which the ibs are whining about, in the fat hope that Sir Leong Mun Wai or Sir Harpreeet Singh might just win? ibs said it's OK! it's OK! We will support liars and this is our idea of a 1st world Parliament!

So assuming the ministers and NCM, and I say it again "ASSUMING" they are guilty as charged, you are OK with it ma. So what's the point?

This Chinaman now Cyprus new citizen is damn cunning. He took advantage of the social settings to ask for phots with ministers who would find it hard to refuse, when in the circumstances, no mortal would have suspected his motive, which was to promote his own public image.

If you can imagine a phot of three people, LHL, Xi Jin Ping and me, all smiling, shoulder to shoulder, you will know what I mean, how such a photo would give me bragging rights and get me big business.

In any case, NCM has clarified. It's a storm in a teacup stirred up by the 3443 losers hoping that a BE would get Leong or Singh into Parliament. Fat hope lar. Case closed. I think the PAP team should now focus on leading Singapore through the global storm, and just bo hiew this teacup storm. Just IGNORE!

Different

The 3443 was OK with Raeesah Khan passing remarks about Christians and Chinese. People knew after her comments about a race and a religion were exposed, yet they voted for her. 1st world parliament to have such people in the House telling rape stories.

But they are not OK with ministers being seen in a photo with Su, whose dirty money was not known to them yet, at the time.

There are two standards. One for PAP and one for WP. The standard for WP meant that the 3443 would vote for Singh as they did even though he was a liar. 1st world parliament for the next five years again.
