Bessent says the 20% fentanyl tariff might go away at some point later in the year, so it'd be really just 10% across the board if that happens (which was what everyone was expecting before "liberation day").

I think all the grifting, undermining the rule of law, demolishing past alliances, etc have done far more damage to the US brand than the tariffs, China/Russia are the big winners so far.

I finally got rid of my stupid COMEX silver at a few hundred $ profit.

The silver crashed hard immediately at the start of the briefing by Bessent, pump only came at night, and I almost lost five figures. (silver is being sold down due to negative correlation with DXY strength).
Futures market is truly a different beast from stocks.

DXY up but CNH (offshore yuan) actually strengthened against the USD. What do you conclude about this?

Where is the new low?

Seems like the equity market is at a pivotal point now, and has to make a decision today or latest tomorrow. It should either be a bigger downside move or a move to the upside to end the bear market.

Having said that, usually bear markets end when prices are low, not when prices are high like now, so I am expecting a downside move. Let's see.
