Have, just checking anybody like me pay the same but tax doubled.

Cannot be.

If ur employer already declare for u (ie in the employer auto inclusion scheme), u no need to file again. afterward double tax.

plus if ur last year's earnings and this year's earnings (which include all bonus and allowances) is line by line exact, actually there's no need to even file and IRAS will send u a SMS waiving ur filing requirement.

Ehhhhh.... I dun think u know the true power of IRAS or what IRAS does. :s13:
On the one hand, u said don't forget those who underdeclared (capitalised Woh), on the other hand, u imply iras is very the powderful.

Don't know what your point is ?

Irrespective of whether iras is powerful or not, The stats are there for those who don't pay income tax.

max relief is also just 80K per pax right? no matter the number of kids?
PTR is different.. is rebate amount.. etc if you need to pay $35000 amount of tax.. can just offset.. but it's one off..

My is only $15k only though for 2 kids.. cause last time amount is lower i guess.. every year my tax is about $1k+.. so don't need to pay for 10 years? 😂

Relief is only $4,000 per kids. Say your taxable income = $120,000 with 3 kids. Your taxable income will be reduced from $120,000 to $118,000. Relief is not significant.
PTR = Parent Tax Rebate. Meaning, if based on your taxable income of $118,000, let's say you need to pay $8,000 income tax but you have $35,000 in your PTR. You pay zero because $8,000 is offset from $35,000. So you will have $27,000 remained in your PTR. Next FY, it will do the same again, pay zero income tax until your PTR is down to zero.

I guess it's clear many complained about raising children is expensive and government not helping enough. It's actually because they never do their homework or they just have not explore enough how much help government is really giving. It is a lot of money actually.
