Lol i had the same thought as u while watching it . So nice. Lojg time no see so nice. Plus it is my fav theme got 守城门 and so many handsome Generals

Luckily, they din ask Zhao Lu Si to act in this show.

It seems to me that the roles for Song Zu Er and Zhao Lu Si are interchangeable. Their 戏路 are the same.

It seems to me that the roles for Song Zu Er and Zhao Lu Si are interchangeable. Their 戏路 are the same.

Th3 former can act bad PerSon. Better acting skill. Haha.

I though the bad prince use the Female Lead (own the city ]as the token to gain access to city. It was mentioned specifically

in a lot China drama think. not recommended to mention real dynasty. Scared taint the reputation of historical facts Some drama got use real dynasty like Qingdynasty. Plus to share. This drama is based on a novel.

so in. This drama got five nations but fake name. So u can say is imaginary dynasty Feel free to discuss I love the drama

I started chasing already. Worth following starting from EP01.

If they use real name, they have to classify the drama under Historical and will be very hard to pass licensing. Very very strict.

so usually will just make it into fantasy or fiction, easier to pass.

But Flourished Peony even though not historical, their costumes and set very accurate to Tang Dynasty! Sooo beautiful.

Plus no idol actors. It’s my fav period drama aside from Dafeng Da Geng Ren (not really considered period but ya)

The xianxia watch a few already always same storyline

Dropped after 3 episodes. FL doesn't even have a proper name and is, in essence, a vase character responsible for "subduing" the ML with her beauty. Simple story summary: "自古英雄难过美人关".

This director is more suited for comedy and, as always, cannot resist inserting humour here and there, sometimes making the tone very 低俗无聊. ML's acting has no depth.

No actor inside is handsome. All of the ML's sidekick generals look like part of a comedy troupe. The ML's military adviser has a comedic deadpan face, which is wrong. This character (a serious role)'s background is also not addressed.

FL's name is obviously taken from the 三国 character. ML is very loosely meant to be ermm... Cao Cao with Zhou Yu's wife? (shudder)

All said, this series has attractive visuals and decent production quality. It is currently playing reasonably well.
