Same situation as you.
1. End this may
2. Unsure what constitutes wealth. I will ask my rm if there’s a min purchase of es3
A)To buy/sell shares, you need to open an Equity investment a/c which will provide the platform for you to buy/sell shares which must be traded in lots of minimum 100 shares. I don’t think the system allow you to enter 1. If you are trying to do the minimum, then buy 100 shares of a cheap counter (eg. price is $0.80 per share) instead of buying 100 shares of an expensive counter (eg. price is $45 per share).
B)To buy/sell unit trust (generally described as ‘funds’), you need to open a Unit Trust investment a/c. When you buy, the term used is ‘subscription’. When you sell, the term used is ‘redemption’. It will provide the input screen for you to subscribe or redeem. I believe there is a minimum of $1k required by the system at the initial funds subscription, but you can do partial redemptions subsequently to get down to your ‘minimum’.
Currently, up to the May2025 EGA Bonus Interest promo, the t&cs does not mention what is the minimum ‘wealth holdings’ required i.e. any shares or unit trust remaining in your investment a/c are ‘wealth holdings’.
Update : some experienced people have replied to my posting that my remarks about the 1 share is incorrect. I just want to clarify that my remarks is based only on SG shares which I bought.
