Anyone started shopping using Pingduoduo 拼多多 App?

I dunno why your purple tag looks different. Mine says 满¥99包邮. Have bought many rounds on PDD since July 2024 and never once paid a single cent for shipping.

Everything MIC you can find on Shopee/Lazada, you’ll find it cheaper on PDD. Yes there is alot of trash items but you can also find quality products. 一分钱一分货. In fact I believe majority of TB merchants are on PDD as well.

Payment is 2 steps. First you pay the seller for the items, then wait for them to arrive at the China warehouse. Once arrive, you consolidate shipment. If all your products have the 满¥99包邮 label and your consolidated purchase price is more than ¥99, you only pay 9% GST at this 2nd step. Don’t have to be same seller. My most recent shipment took 20 days from purchase to receiving the items.

Twice, I had items slightly damaged due to shipping. Both times, the seller tried to message me offering a compensation which is a portion of the purchase price, but the platform jitao refund me the full amount. So for those who had doubts on their return policy, I’d like to share that my experience have been positive thus far.

With regards to having to pay individual items instead of adding to cart then check out all at once, there is a way to do it. PDD doesn’t have a cart function, but what you can do is tap on the button on the listings you want to buy. Then go to your profile page and click the 商品收藏 (logo of a shopping bag with a heart in the middle) which is the list of all the items you’ve favourited. There, you select the options you want for each item, then can cart out all at once. This is useful when you want to compare the price of the same item across different merchants. So basically right, how I shop is I first find an item that I want to buy, then I just that listing. Scroll to the bottom, they will recommend other listings with the same item but different prices and I them as well. Then I go to this 商品收藏 page, and can see at a glance which merchant sells the cheapest.

That being said, if your items are high value (but below ¥200) it is better to cart out individually. Because for WeChatPay which I’m using, the 3% transaction fee is waived for transactions below ¥200. For example if you’re buying 2 items (¥150 and ¥100) if you cart them out together you need to pay 3% extra. Cart out separately and you don’t need to pay this 3%.

Your method of going into the 商品收 is good. It showed me clearly I have accumulated > RMB100 before I proceeded to make payment. And I also activated the filter of "RMY99 free shipping to Singapore" before choosing the merchandise.

Now, after I made the payment,
half of them went into the consolidation(拼团中）
half of them went into the preparing to ship（打包中）
Any idea what are the differences?

Sit back and relax. Different seller send out at different timings, now is just on the way to the consolidation warehouse. Check back again in 2-3 days.

edit: I just read your post again and thought I should clarify the meaning of 拼团中。initially the concept of PDD is that you have to buy the item together with someone to enjoy the “bulk discount”. That’s why every listing you will see a 单独购买 price which is higher, and a 拼单 price which is lower. So every time you select the 拼单 price they still go through the motion of matching with someone else with the same purchase but because there are so many users, your item sure will kenna 拼 one. So in my opinion the 拼 concept is abit redundant. Unless the item you buy is really nobody else in the billion population of China will think of buying, wait awhile and you’ll get the 拼单成功notification

I just placed my order for shipment to Singapore address. I am using Android.

For first time buyers, they give 24-48 hours of free no min spend free sea ship. Idk if they give longer than 48 hours but after days of opening and closing the app without purchasing anything, it eventually went from 24 to 48 hours and then I made my first order because I need the item. Went on to purchase many many low cost items within that 48 hours. I did realise many sellers on taobao also on PDD. Some are branded official stores too. Similar to shopee/lazada, buying from official stores will have better assurance on authenticity? They really throw alot of vouchers at you for additional discounts. It's my first time buying from them. I feel the purple free shipping feels like taobao plus (199¥ free shipping) so not all sellers will be on there. But for PDD, most sellers are on there. Unlike taobao, they don't really filter out listings for sellers ineligible for paid/free shipping to SG. So for the same product, some sellers are eligible for paid/free shipping to SG, some are not. If the listing you're seeing is not eligible for shipping to SG then just look for another store that is eiligble. There's actually also quite some taobao products that's not eligible for shipping to SG unless you use 3rd party forwarder.

I want to ask those who bought multiple times, what are your recommended sea and air shipping company on PDD? How's the experience and shipping times?

not sure but my google play security didnt show any warning after this pdd app installed... i will have to bear the responsibility when my bank money become zero...

now i only know this pdd keep sucking my money out

Not sure why people likes pdd. Even my Chinese friends avoid it at all costs. They say it sells crap products and the CS is bad. The main thing is having to download the app from the website and install it from apk. That to me raises a red flag. You never know what "additional" code are included in the app.

Not in that sense. My China friends says PDD never vet the sellers unlike TB or JD 京东. Also their CS sucks. If you got any issues with your purchases then good luck.

I have just placed 10 orders from 10 different sellers. Now some items just started going into the warehouse and starting to show my delivery charges to Singapore....

Indeed. I previously tried delaying figuring out the items I needed to repair some household items... Now with such low prices in pdd, I just kept ordering ordering... Infact I still have few things like light bulbs I have not place order...

it depends your "consolidated" is before or after "去集运".


The portion after "去集运" like this...is payable it seemed however, the other 9 items have not reach this "去集运" portion.

So, I'm waiting for the other 9 to reach this stage of "去集运" , to see if the transport to Singapore is still chargeable.
