I was there 31st May - 13th June, 1st - 4th was at GOR, 4th-6th at Halls Gap, 6th-9th at Yarra Valley area.

Any other places you travelled outside of GOR ?
Other than GOR from 6-9th, we went Penguin Parade and Moonlit Sentuary on 3rd, Puffing Billy on the 4th, and finally Sovereign Hill on the 10th. The rest of the days were spent in the CBD area.

Depends on the model you are getting.

I wanted the GLC300 but was bumped off to diesel Audi Q5, was about 200+ SGD a day rental.

Diesel was slightly less than AUD 2 per litre, fuel tank was probably 50+ 60 litres? I est probably do about 700+ 800 km a tank on average though the fuel indicator usually claims >900km per full tank.

Actually Jpn and TW is really much better for .. eye candies
I booked through booking.com. $270 for 3 days inclusive of zero excess insurance for a Toyota RAV4 hybrid, but they gave me a Hyundai Tucson hybrid. Managed to travel about 700km from CBD to Apollo Bay, Port Campbell and Port Fairy and then back, using all the coastal roads.

You post in Reddit?

I wonder where else is best for photograph sharing. I dun like how instagram crop the thumbnails

even among the photography community it seems that some photographers can have strong opinions that their way is the only way. Some insist every face shown needs a small talk and a consent to publish - every. Some think that street photography should just die off …

I even come across animal activists who say using camera on animals is harmful as the lens resembles a big eye who put stress on the animal… I dunno if there is some truth

… so it is just land mines everywhere. human beings are beautiful. I like street and candid portraits the most. It’s a pity we dun see more of it.

In fact u r the only one here so far. Or maybe I dunno where else to look

No more. but from some of the of the comments and downvotes , things can be very testy

U went alone?

With family

Sixt has this $49 (inclusive of GST) thingy which allows you to return the car without having to top up petrol. I return the car with just 20km of petrol left. Worth it. lol.

Wow. Most will charge extra for efforts on their part to top up petrol.

For Europcar at least in Victoria, they will levy a fee of AUD4 per litre diesel top up ( as compared to <2AUD per litre at pump station ), but in this case there is a BP pump station just a junction across the return point so there is little reason not to pump full tank before return.

I ever kenna gao gao surcharge for returning an Avis vehicle in japan without full tank, but I was running late.

Mostly on my Sony. The bird tracking on Sony is still far superior.

The photos taken by Xiaomi will be watermarked, comes with GPS coordinates, pretty nifty.

Swee. Always looking forward to your chiobu photos :s19:
Hows europcar? Thinking of renting from them in tasmania in November.
For car rental in Aussie, can consider Apex Car Rentals as they are much cheaper.

Reason being cheaper ish because they are not located within the airport - but will bus you between their office and airport (usually not far).

Apex is owned by Avis Budget.

They ask me in advance if I wish to pay $49 AUD for them to top up on my behalf before I drive out. So I said ok and paid. I returned after 730km without visiting the pump station throughout the GOR trip and returned the car with a near empty tank.

Very worth it.

as much as they deny, it is a woke thing. Not very inclusive, ironically.

Woke originally meant an awareness of sociopolitical inequality , but it has quite 'mutated' into quite something else. Topic for another day.

Coffee is decent, "Magic" is a common milk drink in Melbourne cafeterias made with a double shot ristretto, "stronger" than a typical latte. Dun remember seeing previously in Sydney.

Turkish Egg with Spiced Lamb - Bursting with flavors, balanced with the herbs and yoghurt, I would come back for this.

Seb's place at Yarra Glen,

https://g.co/kgs/oRSrM67

Affable owner has been holding forte for more than 30 years, family involved, all hands on deck. They open 5 days a week from 5pm till 9pm. Busy place, limited seats primarily for people waiting for takeaway but if you are early you could use a table for dining in which we did.

Impromptu, should have used a 35mm over the 14mm.

whats nice in the CBD huh? thinking of bring old folks but can't travel too far from city.

Depends on what you are planning to do.

Chinatown - Little Bourke St.
Queen Victoria Market - go early.
Royal Botanic Gardens
Docklands area - I think watching sunset and jiak around the area is nice.
Southbank area is more artsy and restaurants along yarra river, good dinner ambience.
Melbourne Central ( shopping centre )
There are several museums including NGV, old melbourne jail, eureka tower for sunset. The aquarium is a nice visit for kids not sure if ur older folks be interested.

Phillip Island, Yering Station etc will be further and needs transport.
