when you do groceries must compare prices lah, some items SS will be more exp then FP sometimes the other way round. sometime got discount etc.

of course, ntuc get their products from the authorized distributors who has additional regulatory/marketing cost , while the other 2 are parallel importers.
Why must they get from authorised distributors in the first place?

Just bought this at market stall for $4.50. NTUC selling >2x more expensive for the same thing. How come?



Aiya, NTUC got aircon, packaging, overheads, all these add to price one. Market stall usually cheaper 'cause no frills, and auntie uncle sometimes give better deal. FairPrice convenient but not always cheapest lor. Gotta compare a bit lah!

Two weeks ago, I bought a pkt of gold kili kopi o kosong at 5.25. This is normal price and not on offer. Two weeks later, it become 5.50

Bro. >2x more ex leh. Not 10-20%. NTUC buy bulk some more. Small shops how to fight. Is it they pay NTUC chief too high pay must sell higher price? 😅😅

Fairprice is just like any other commercial grocer, there's no obligation for it to offer lowest prices. Just go with whichever gives better value, we also no obligation to buy from Fairprice :s13:
