To add on, let's say Amazon implements this stablecoin thing, their payment network still has to be maintained and upgraded from time to time, how do you think this cost is being recovered? Money is being recovered either by Merchants who has their own payment network or the card payment company who maintain the network. It is the same.
Actually can Amazon just stop using ma/v/axp and focus on their own Amazon coin? They love spending money and long term payments business is big money

They can steal market share of the credit card processors with their massive e commerce platform

Even though Amazon Coins were a digital currency, users still needed to use their existing payment methods (like a credit card, debit card, or bank account linked to their Amazon account) to purchase the coins.

Like buying a gift card.

alab finally push thru after consolidation for 2 weeks. ready to take-off? the first pull back with big gap down break the support line. however support steps in and push the price back above with huge volume. second attempt to test the support and got push back as well which is a good entry point.

Just got assigned at 95.
I guess I am a long term alab investor now.

What's your highest conv.stock?

i got a position in alab. last night negative outside day wipe out 10% of my cushion. takes only 1.5hrs. my cost is 90.
21 ema cheat-code was activated. bounce off and push above the middle support line but fade off. the red line is at 87. gotta stop loss if cross it. last night semi theme pull back. also on nvda, crwd, pltr, meta, cls.

wont be holding long on this. will let go by next week due to the tarriffs 90 days expiry and the middle east conflict decision by trump in 2 weeks. both event is very close too.

i dont hold stocks, more of a swing trader. constantly looking for stock with strength and leaders.
leaders on my list are: hood, crwd, gev, pltr
trending: hims, leu, vst

everyday got different stock to play. their strength come and go.

avgo going to have some action.

Claiming Visa and Mastercard getting killed due to stablecoins is a bit far-fetched. Stablecoins right now is inherently USD only. People still needs to transact in their own native currency.

There could be stablecoins for more currencies in the future, but that will still be subjected to central bank regulations. Issue stablecoins and not removing actual fiat from circulation increases the money supply aka printing money.

Sure there are mobile wallets are stuff but people also rather pay additional fees to collect credit card rewards? So long as this stays, the 2 major global payment network provider is not going anywhere.
I will be very happy to accept payment (both from friends and as a business) in USDC with a 2-3% markup so I can immediately offramp it back to SGD. For small payments, it can be much cheaper than accepting a USD wire or trying to cash a USD cheque. (The US also has very bad P2P payment systems by the banks themselves, if we don't include the private solutions like Venmo/Zelle/PayPal.)

Until stablecoins become more popular among the mainstream, I don't see any problem using just USDC until there is more critical mass locally to use a stablecoin pegged to the local currency.

Until then, I will just have faith in the global reserve currency.

SOFI now taking in increasing volume in an uptrend. Already clear $15, next resistance $17 to 18. Easy 20% gain.

It's direction of stock price in the short-term. Don't confuse the time frame. Market is now pricing in the uncertainty due to USD stablecoin.

Institutional investors has been underperforming the market because they did huge dump in April only to be picked up by retail investors. I think in order to clock their kpi for this year they will be buying the dip tomorrow onwards in stages.

I foresee a massive sell off for days first before rocket to next high. Need to create some fear for retail investors mah. So easy narrative which kumgong will fall for it

Yea same pattern always repeats. I guess SPY will find support at around the 5.8k level. Don’t think it will go back to April lows.

5% pullback can add alittle bit liao at support level. Of cos if 10% or 20% even better like the April correction.

oic, i newbie so not sure of most history, thought the april case is normal for crash

no wonder during april my friends laugh at me when market down more than 5% and i havent buy in, in the end i laugh the loudest cause my beginners luck caught the bottom
