Well, if the parties can work well for the interest of Singaporeans and not prioritize individual party's interests then this system could work. A lot of countries e.g Switzerland/Austria/Denmark, etc. the parliamentary composition quite diverse also still don't affecting them from functioning well.

In fact, such a setting allows for proper contrast of ideas as no 1 party has a overwhelmingly majority of the seats thus leading to proper debates where good ideas get refined before becoming an official policy.

Yep no choice, Singapore is still far from the above climate. Most Singaporeans just vote for PAP. The 1 party system will continue in the foreseeable future.
