Hi All, i connected the JBL bar 800 with the TV via eARC hdmi, but the JBL will go into standby mode every 15 - 20 minutes.

Any ideas what causes it or how to resolve it? Thanks!

Ah i have had this issue previously, and I thought it was their soundbar issue and sent it to service centre, service centre checked and no issue.

Is your TV Sony?

Did a lot of trial and error and research to find no solutions. So the conclusion to resolve is, there is conflicting HDMI ports. If there are other HDMI ports connected to your TV, please remove it first and ONLY connect the JBL Bar 800 to TV via eARC port.

Your TV should automatically detect the soundbar. Preciously, it doesn't, hence it goes to standby every 10 to 15min.

So try it, remove all HDMI devices connected to your TV, except your Soundbar. Then once the soundbar works, slowly plug the rest in to see which device has conflicting issues with the sound bar.

After you have successfully connected to your TV, the soundbar will automatically turn on itself when TV is on

yup, brought my soundbar to service centre and they say no issue, brought back home and still same issue. Thereafter, I did a trial an error and went deep research online and found it was some other HDMI interfering with the eARC port.

Your xiaomi TV can go e-arc setting to see if can detect the soundbar?

I'm using Creative Stage V2 (around $120).

Now feel like upgrading it to a mid range one around $300 to $500. Looking for dialogue clarity, and able to retain settings even when power socket is switched off. Ideally should have good bass for music listening. I don't care about Atmos or vibrating the house when watching movies. Kindly recommend.
